For your convenience, I’ve put together a list of some of the most common questions I am asked and their respective answers. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please call and I’ll do my best to get you the information as soon as possible.
What types of health insurance do you accept?
Many major insurances accepted! CDPHP, Empire, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, Fidelis, Blue Shield of Northeastern NY and MVP. Call or email the office today, or call the number on the back of your card to see if Dr. Whipple participates. We regret that we are unable to accept or participate with Workers Compensation.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, you do not need a referral! Any medical documentation and imaging (Xray, MRI etc) from a physician you are seeing relevant to your complaint is welcome.
What is your new patient procedure?
For the initial visit, you will be in the office for about 1 hour. Online paperwork should be filled out prior to the appointment. If that is not possible, please arrive early to fill that out. After the initial paperwork is completed you will sit down with Dr. Whipple and discuss your reason for the visit. You will receive an examination and subsequent treatment that she finds medically necessary. All questions and concerns are valued and the proper time is taken to address these.
